PACT Act Update
Effective March 27, 2021, Congress amended the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking (“PACT”) Act to regulate the sale and delivery of vapor products in the same manner as cigarettes. The federal legislation is intended to prevent online sales to minors and ensure tax compliance by sellers of vape products, which we fully support and adhere to.

What is the PACT Act and how does it impact Bantam?
The PACT Act, which was passed in 2009, imposed various compliance obligations on tobacco-related businesses and prohibits the U.S. Postal Service from shipping cigarettes and smokeless tobacco to individual consumers. In December 2020, Congress amended the PACT Act to include vapor products. In a nutshell, this means Bantam can no longer use USPS to ship our individual consumers’ orders.
